A Turkish steam bath in your Shower ? For more than ten years Helo has supplied many thousands of steam kits to achieve just that. A small steam generator which is remotely sited in the loft or a cupboard, delivers steam to a standard shower enclosure. A lightweight acrylic dome which rests on the shower frame/special wall brackets and compact fold up seat are all that you need to enjoy a personal home steam bath.

Our comprehensive range means you can choose virtually any shower enclosure* - square, rectangular or special designs and there will be a conversion kit to suit.

When the shower design is decided the installation can be enhanced with special Helo accessories - stereo music with steam proof speakers and volume control, mood lighting and a range of aroma essences to vary the effect of steam bathing from relaxing to invigorating.

Used in conjunction with the fitting kit, this neat, flush mounted control will maintain the temperature at a chosen level, limited to 50°C for safety. With a bright LED digital readout, both the ambient and set temperature can be monitored, with adjustment by rise and fall touch buttons. The chosen setting is held in the control memory even when turned off. The control includes built in temp sensor and timer light and is supplied with 75 x 75 mm back box, plated brass bezel with fixing screws and 5 metre connecting cables. Used as an alternative to the In Shower control type above, this control adds the sophistication of programmable preset and running times. Mounted outside the steam room with a separate sensor inside, the mode button allows the start time to be set up to 24 hours ahead with an option of up to 59 minutes running time. Coloured LEDs indicate the control status and a buzzer sounds when the chosen temperature is reached. When presetting is not required the steam unit runs in standard mode for 25 minutes by simply pushing the pneumatic button. While the steam is not in use, the LCD displays a useful 24 hour clock. Supplied with 135 x 75 mm back box, temperature sensor in plated brass escutcheon with 2 metre cable, plated brass bezel with fixing screws and 5m connecting cable. Helo steam domes provide a convenient and practical means of retaining steam in regular shower enclosures. Manufactured in lightweight 3mm cast acrylic, they are designed to rest on the top rim of the shower enclosure or door and are fixed to the shower walls with special brackets (supplied) which allow the dome to be easily removed for cleaning. Available in various shapes and around 25 sizes (see chart), all domes have a 100mm perimeter flange which may be trimmed to precise dimensions when fitting. Choose from clear finish when an "open" look is required or opaque to create an enclosed steam cabin. Helo steam domes are designed to "borrow" surrounding light so specialist steam proof lighting is not needed.

Perfect for steam showers offering comfortable seating whilst enjoying Turkish Bath, then folding flush to the wall for maximum space when showering. Although compact and lightweight, these seats are remarkably strong, supporting up to 16 stone (subject to suitable mounting).

Helo shower wall panels are ideal for lining steam showers and rooms. With a 9mm WPB ply core, laminate balancer to the rear and decorative laminate face, they may be fixed direct to stud work or existing walls. The panels offer several advantages over traditional tiling - easier to fit with no need for expensive, specialist grouting, simply drilled to fit steam and shower components, much quicker heat up time for the steam bath and warmer to the touch. Especially suitable to form steam ceilings where a dome is not appropriate, they should be fixed to a perimeter frame with slight fall to avoid condensation and fitted with steam proof lights and speakers detailed below. Panels are available in 600mm width with tongue and groove for continuous walls and 900mm width with flat edge and groove for corner fitting in conjunction with special corner and edge profiles. Height is 2400mm high. Finish is matt white.

For larger steam rooms or showers where a false ceiling is preferred to the simpler acrylic dome, Helo steam proof lights provide excellent low voltage illumination. Two types are available: the recessed version is a superb plated brass fitting with 125mm diameter bezel and fire polished lens. Tested to IP65 (rated IP68) and supplied with Dichroic 12V bulb, safety and long life are assured. Finish may be white, chrome, gold or nickel plated. Helo's semi recessed light has a neat frosted glass shade and is supplied with white, chrome and gold trim rings for a choice of finish when fitting. Coloured shades in red, blue, green and yellow are optionally available to create "mood" lighting which in conjunction with different aroma essences can vary the effect of the steam bath.

A useful kit which allows the luxury of enjoying a home stereo system in the steam shower. A pair of 100w 2-way recessed steam proof speakers may be mounted in the ceiling or walls and a rotary steam proof volume control enables muting or raising of sound as required. Connection with suitable speaker cable is made to a standard stereo system via the supplied switch box for auxiliary speakers.

A few drops of essence in the special slot provided on the steam outlet can vary the effect of the steam bath from invigorating and stimulating to absolute relaxation to aid a restful sleep. Helo's aroma steam essences are supplied in a set of 8 x 50ml bottles with these fragrances:
eucalyptus, peppermint, spruce, birch, dwarf pine, balm, fresh mint and lime.
